The Genesee River has three falls as it passes through Rochester, NY: the High Falls downtown, and the Middle Falls and Lower Falls, near the Driving Park Bridge. They enabled Rochester to become the Flour City in the 19th century, a major mill town on the Erie Canal that shipped worldwide.
